Is this product safe for septic systems?

Is this product safe for HE washers?
Yes, all Legacy of Clean products are safe to use in HE washers.

Can the inside of a washing machine ever get dirty?
Some ingredients used by other detergent manufacturers can build up inside a washing machine. This can especially be a concern at public laundromats. Legacy of Clean detergents don’t leave any residue on your clothes or in your washer. So every time you wash your clothes with Legacy of Clean detergents, you’re cleaning your washer!

How can I clean the inside of a washing machine?
It’s very easy. Use two scoops of Legacy of Clean Concentrated All Fabric Bleach. Set the temperature to “Hot” and the load size to “Large.” Run the complete wash cycle. This is especially important at public laundromats.

I have a smell coming from the inside of my HE washing machine. Is it from Legacy of Clean products?
No. Dirty water can sit in the bottom of an HE washer between cycles. So even if you’re using Legacy of Clean products, it would be a good idea to clean your washer once a month using All Fabric Bleach.

Why does my Legacy of Clean Fabric Softener now contain an expiration date?
Amway always strives for high-quality, high-performing products. All fabric softeners on the market, including Legacy of Clean Fabric Softener, will thicken over time. This is the inherent nature of the product. By placing an expiration date on the product, we are letting the consumer know when the product has reached its useful life.

Will my Legacy of Clean Fabric Softener still be effective past the expiration date?
Legacy of Clean Fabric Softener is designed to have a two-year shelf life. After the two-year shelf life, the fabric softener may begin to thicken. Amway’s recommendation is to properly dispose of the product after the expiration date. However, if you chose to use the product, we advise adding water and shaking the bottle, which will reduce the product viscosity and make it easier to dispense.

Why did my Legacy of Clean Fabric Softener begin to thicken before the expiration date?
Thickening is a factor of age and temperature. The higher the temperature, the faster that thickening may occur. If the product thickens before the expiration, it is because the product was exposed to high temperatures. Legacy of Clean Fabric Softener can be returned for a full refund if returned on or before the expiration date.

Is there a way I can prevent the thickening of before the expiration date?
Store Legacy of Clean Fabric Softener at appropriate temperature conditions. Storage temperatures maintained at 75°F or lower will guarantee that the product will easily last two years.
