Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add All Fabric Bleach to my front load washer when there is only an area for liquid bleach?
It is recommended that you add All Fabric Bleach to your load at the same time and in the same dispenser as your detergent.
Have there been changes to the formula, color or fragrance?
No, Amway Home™ All Fabric Bleach is made with the same great formula, color and fragrance.
What is “Activated Oxygen” bleach?
Amway Home™ All Fabric Bleach contains non-chlorine bleach for maximum stain removal. Unlike traditional chlorine bleach, oxygen bleach will not fade colors or weaken fabrics. It is also recognized as being safer for people and the environment when used as directed. Amway Home™ All Fabric Bleach also contains an oxygen bleach “activator.” This ingredient allows the bleach to remove stains better at lower wash temperatures. With the activator, stain removal in “Warm” (90°F) water is approximately the same as in “Hot” (120°F) water without an activator.
Is this product safe for septic systems?
Yes, all Amway Home™ products are septic safe. They won’t cause sludge to form or disrupt the natural bacteria that keep your septic system working.
Is this product safe for HE (high efficiency) washers?
Yes, all Amway Home™ products are safe to use in HE washers.
Can the inside of a washing machine ever get dirty?
Some ingredients used by other detergent manufacturers can build up inside a washing machine. This can especially be a concern at public laundromats. Amway Home™ detergents don’t leave any residue on your clothes or in your washer. So every time you wash your clothes with Amway Home™ detergents, you’re cleaning your washer!
How can I clean the inside of a washing machine?
It’s easy. Use two scoops of Amway Home™ All Fabric Bleach. Set the temperature to hot and the load size to large. Run the complete wash cycle. This is especially important at
There’s a smell coming from the inside of my HE washing machine. Is it from Amway Home™ products?
No. Dirty water can sit in the bottom of an HE washer between cycles. So even if you’re using Amway Home™ products, it would be a good idea to clean your washer once a month using Amway Home™ All Fabric Bleach.
Many products claim to be safe and “green.” What proof do you have?
We have partnered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Safer Choice Program. Many of our formulas and ingredients have already been reviewed by the EPA and third-party accreditation contractors to meet their goals for safety.
We’re also a participant in the A.I.S.E. (International Association for Soaps, Detergents, and Maintenance Products) Charter for Sustainable Cleaning. As a participant, we voluntarily commit to follow this industry initiative for continual improvement in sustainability. Each phase of the product’s life cycle (raw material selection, chemical safety, resource use, occupational health and safety, and advice to customers on how best to use the products) is assessed, reviewed and externally verified. The goal? Being a trendsetter and role model for continual improvement in sustainability for the entire cleaning products industry.
